1. UNEXPLAINED NOISE OR RATTLE AT LOW RPM. A. SPRING CENTER OF DISC RIVETED SOLID. A. REPLACE DISC.
B. SPRING CENTER OF DISC HITTING STOPS. B. REPLACE DISC.
C. EXCESSIVE WEAR OF SPLINES (DISC OR INPUT SHAFT OR BOTH). C. REPLACE DISC.
2. UNEXPLAINED NOISE WHEN DEPRESSING CLUTCH PEDAL. A. FAULTY PILOT BEARING. A. REPLACE PILOT BEARING.
B. FAULTY RELEASE BEARING. B. REPLACE RELEASE BEARING.
C. PILOT BEARING NOT INSTALLED. C. INSTALL PILOT BEARING.
3. REMAN FORD TRACTOR CLUTCH DISC SLIPPING. A.

INSTALLED WITH FACTORY SHIM RING

A. REMOVE SHIM RING.
4. PREMATURE BEARING FAILURE ON PULL TYPE CLUTCH. A. POOR MAINTENANCE. A.
GREASE BEARING REGULARLY.
B. BEARING UNDER CONSTANT LOAD. B. ADJUST RELEASE FORK TO RELEASE BEARING PADS.
5. CLUTCH DOES NOT HOLD UNDER LOAD. A. PPA OR DISC OR BOTH WORN OUT. A.
REPLACE PPA OR DISC OR BOTH.
B. OIL ON DISC. B. CLEAN OIL FROM DISC OR REPLACE DISC. ALSO REPLACE PTO SEAL OR REAR MAIN SEAL.
C. INCORRECT FLYWHEEL STEP. C. RE GRIND FLYWHEEL TO CORRECT SPECIFICATIONS.
D. BOLTS OR NUTS USED TO PULL LEVERS DOWN, FOR EASE OF INSTALLATION, NOT REMOVED. D. REMOVE BOLTS OR NUTS.
6. RELEASE LEVERS TOO LOW (CLUTCH WON'T RELEASE. A. INCORRECT FLYWHEEL STEP SPECIFICATION. A. GRIND FLYWHEEL TO CORRECT SPECIFICATION.
B. PPA AND OR DISC BENT (TRACTOR FORCED TOGETHER). B. REPLACE PPA AND OR DISC.
C. DISC IS DISTORTED BY HEAT. C. REPLACE DISC.
D. DISC TOO THICK. D. REPLACE DISC WITH THINNER DISC.
E. CLUTCH IN BACKWARDS
E. TURN DISC AROUND
7. RELEASE LEVERS TOO HIGH (CLUTCH RELEASE PREMATURELY). A. DISC WORN OUT. A. REPLACE DISC.
B. INCORRECT FLYWHEEL STEP SPECIFICATION. B. GRIND FLYWHEEL TO CORRECT SPECIFICATION.
C. DISC TOO THIN. C. REPLACE DISC WITH THICKER DISC.
8. JUMPY ENGAGEMENT OR POOR RELEASE. A. DISC BENT (TRACTOR FORCED TOGETHER OR DISC DROPPED).
A. GRIND FLYWHEEL TO CORRECT SPECIFICATION.
B. DISC DISTORTED FROM HEAT (EXTREME SLIPPAGE). B. B. REPLACE DISC.
C. PPA NOT ADJUSTED CORRECTLY. C. REPLACE PPA OR CALL AG PARTS SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR CORRECT ADJUSTMENT SPECIFICATION.
D. FLYWHEEL NOT GROUND TO CRANK D. GRIND FLYWHEEL TO CORRECT SPECIFICATION.
E. 86 SERIES CAB MOUNT WORN EXCESSIVELY.
E. REPLACE CAB MOUNTS.
F. F. RELEASE LEVER CRACKED OR BROKEN. F. REPLACE PPA OR RELEASE LEVERS.

G. PPA PIVOT BLOCK LOOSE. G. REPLACE PPA.
H. DISC BINDING ON INPUT SHAFT. H. CLEAN DIRT AND GRIME FROM SPLINES. IF SPLINES WORN, REPLACE DISC.
I. PPA NOT FLAT IN FLYWHEEL. I. INSPECT FLYWHEEL TO INSURE PPA MOUNTING SURFACE IS NOT TAPERED ALLOWING PPA TO BE DRAWN DOWN UNEVENLY.
J. FAULTY PILOT BEARING. J. REPLACE PILOT BEARING.
9. BURNT RELEASE LEVERS. A. FAULTY RELEASE BEARING. A. REPLACE PPA OR RELEASE LEVERS AND RELEASE BEARING.
B. WORN LINKAGE (ALLOWS RELEASE BEARING TO RIDE AGAINST LEVERS). B. REPLACE PPA OR RELEASE LEVERS. ALSO INSTALL 830415 SPRING KIT.
C. RIDING CLUTCH. C. REPLACE PPA OR RELEASE LEVERS AND INSTRUCT OPERATOR TO REMOVE FOOT FROM CLUTCH PEDAL.
D. DEFECTIVE CLUTCH BOOSTER D. REBUILD OR REPLACE BOOSTER.
